Last year with Reynald Perrin, when he came back to Vanuatu, we decided to reactivate the national judo federation of Vanuatu and especially to revive the practice of this martial art.
After a few months, it seems that our objective has been reached.
As a matter of fact, today judo is practised by nearly one hundred children and adults. Our National Director, Reynald Perrin offers a range of courses ranging from sports initiation for children to learning techniques and training for teens and adults. Furthermore, Philippe Gardais offers an initiation in JuJitsu.
We have a room permanently housed at the Cercle Sportif (Tennis Club). Soon, we will equipe it with new tatami offered by the Oceanian Judo Union thanks to its President Clare Hargrave whom we thank for her constant support. Thank you also to sponsors who have enabled the renovation of this room: Norbert Cugola, Air Vanuatu and volunteers including Sophie Perrin and Philippe Gardais.
